
Too often I've come across leaders who really don't have a handle on how to fulfill their title... and really I can't blame them.Most of the time we start out getting promoted into a management position and immediately go from focusing on ourselves to needing to focus on others. Generally, there is no formal training. No playbook or guidelines. We are simply left to navigate the world of leadership on our own. So, naturally, we default into patterns of behaviours we have either seen or experienced and become the leader we think we should be, rather than taking the time to create a foundation tailored to the type of leader we want to be.
